Diy Botanical Hair Oil
Diy Botanical Hair Oil

Why it works: Yarrow is an incredible herb for the hair and scalp — astringent, antimicrobial, and balancing for sebum production. Peppermint increases circulation and delivers that signature tingle that tells you it's working. Calendula's natural anti-inflammatory properties soothe an irritated scalp while its nourishing compounds add softness and luminosity to dull, dry hair. Nettle is rich in silica, iron, and vitamins A and C, nettle strengthens hair from root to tip and supports healthy growth from the follicle up.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons dried peppermint leaf 2 tablespoons dried yarrow flowers & leaf 2 tablespoons dried nettle 2 tablespoons dried calendula ¼ cup nourishing oil (see steps) 5 tea tree essential oil (optional) 3 peppermint essential oil (optional)
Directions
- Load the infuser: Combine your dried herbs and add 2 tbsp to your Fuzetrix infuser chamber. Pour in ¼ cup of nourishing oil (argan, hemp, castor, jojoba, etc.).
- Infuse: Run the Fuzetrix infuser. The controlled heat draws out yarrow's astringent compounds and peppermint's menthol — both of which would be diminished by excessive heat in a traditional stovetop method.
- Strain & finish: Strain thoroughly and bottle in dark glass. Optionally, add 5 drops tea tree essential oil and 3 drops peppermint essential oil, then cap and shake gently. Store in a cool, dark location.
- Apply: Work a few drops into wet hair before shampooing. Warm between your palms, smooth from roots to ends, and use 1–2x per week.
Recipe Note
Avoid use during pregnancy due to yarrow and peppermint essential oil. Keep away from eyes. Do a patch test before first use.
